White? Ivory? Color?

My conclusions about wedding dresses after reading about 20 articles on it. =P

Traditionally wedding gowns have always been white, or a version of white, like antique white, winter white or ivory, but not all brides want white. Why not break from tradition and pick a color that is more suited to your skintone and personality?

Adding color could be as subtle as a pale pink trim or adding beading and embroidery around the neckline and hem. This is a great way to incorporate colors from your wedding theme or to tie in the flowers and bridesmaids dresses so that everything coordinates.

For a more colorful statement choose a gown that has panels of color mixed in with a traditional white gown. For example a pale pink bodice with a white skirt will place a flattering color at your neckline and still give you the traditional wedding gown feel.

A untraditional choice, but very fun option, is to go completley for a colored gown. Pick your favorite color and go glam, romantic or chic in a gown that defines your personal style.

The gown is often said to be the piece that sets the tone for the wedding, so make sure you pick one, regardless of color, that makes you feel like the stunningly beautiful bride you are.
